UnitedNow! | Volunteering with Benefits 2012

I was honored to take part in photographing the 2nd Annual United Now Volunteering with Benefits Time Raising event this past Friday! Last year went so well and the committee organized yet another amazing evening this year with fabulous auction prices and wonderful speakers. Instead of bidding for prices with money, people were bidding with volunteer hours to support local not-for-profit agencies:)For more information about the United Way of Greater Victoria and how you can get involved, make sure to check out their website!

Mad Hatter Tea Party Bridal Shower :)

Almost a year ago, I was contacted by Ashley’s maid of honor to show up as a surprise and document her bridal shower. I was so excited to be a part of this special day and loved photographing all the details!!  So much time, effort and attention to detail went into organizing the shower and bringing the “Mad Hatter Tea Party” inspired theme to life! (Ash loves all things Disney and this was so perfect for her!!…she was even engaged at Disneyland!!). It was a beautiful day with such lovely people and I cannot wait to photograph Ashley and Justin’s wedding this July. Make sure to check out Ashley’s website, she is an amazing wedding photographer!

Ashley’s MOH, Echo, made all the flower arrangements! They were stunning!!

Meet our new addition … Baxter!

We’ve been wishing and waiting for the past few years now and finally the day has come!! Meet our new little golden retriever buddy, Baxter:)We picked up Baxter from the airport Friday night (…poor little guy’s flight was delayed from Toronto), but he made it! We love our new addition and couldn’t be happier.

 

…did I mention we love anchorman?

JOHN & JESSICA | E-SESSION

Before our trip to Kauai we met up downtown to photograph Jessica and John’s engagement session! We loved photographing these two, they were so fun and easy going to photograph … lots of laughing!! I’m so glad my brother introduced us to this wonderful couple, we can’t wait for their wedding this August, it’s going to be a blast:)

I loved Jessica’s headband:)… did I mention she will be making her wedding bouquet out of paper? … really looking forward to photographing it, I know it’s going to be beautiful!

Kauai R&R

Happy Saturday everyone! Hope you are enjoying the weekend:)We are currently away from Victoria photographing the beautiful island of Kauai … Definitely an island you need to visit … Brandon and I are enjoying a little R&R before the busy wedding season! We have added a lot of new tricks and gear to our arsenal this winter and we are excited to share with all of our couples. Photography is an on going learning experience and there are always new technologies and techniques to be learned. Hawaii is a perfect place to experiment and get in gear for our action packed wedding season. Oh yes, I said action packed because I am just crazy that way….. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle, yay.
